Challenges this week!

I'll be entering the following challenges the week of December 19th...

Wrapping up another Christmas

As I finish up the last the cards I’ll be giving away for Christmas this year, the TV is on and I realize I’m ready for some new commercials.  Just a little burned out on Walmart, Lexus and Chevy commercials.  I don’t know about you, but I have never been in the market for a car at Christmas time.  Crazy ; )

Wow!

I had no idea what a network of card making, inspiring, creative folks there were out there.  I'm in awe of how many have sites dedicated to their love of challenges and card making.  Where have I been all these years???

I put the finishing touches on this one this morning.  Now, back to perusing blogs.  Awwww I love football Sunday.

Challenges this week!

I'll be entering the following challenges the week of December 5th...

Thank you...Extras!

I have a few folks I've needed to thank lately.  Here's what I made them.

Merry Christmas Cards...the first installment

It’s been way too long since my last post, but I’ve been so busy with making the Christmas cards for my loved ones.  It is the whole reason this labor of love turned into an obsession.  I’ve noticed that pictures do not do them justice….don’t tell me I’ll have to buy a fancy camera to capture how pretty they are in real life.  Ugh, well maybe after Christmas.

Well I've uploaded the one's I've done so far.  This will also be the first week I'll be entering card challenges.  We'll see how that goes!

Owl and Friends - Congrats

My other sister and her husband just passed their Texas Real Estate exams.  I sent this card to them.  Their joint venture will be call Old Owl Home Inspections, so I thought this was fitting.

Purple Sparklies - Happy Birthday

This one was for a girlfriend of mine.  I found a great quote printed on vellum that I attached to the inside.  Sad that I didn't get a picture of it before I gave it to her.  Can you tell I love the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartidge???

All That Glitters - Happy Birthday

Since my family knows I make cards, I'm getting special requests : )  This is another one for my sister.  Again, made from scraps.  With a little glitter and sparkles, I found I could dress up anything!

November Flowers - Happy Birthday

I don't use designer papers or products, I just use what I have on hand and what looks good together.  I usually buy card stock scraps as a bit of a challenge to see if I can turn them into something beautiful.

I made this card for my sister's birthday last week.  The colors describe her taste and style to a tee.  She loved it.

Ah, Friday! Looking forward to the weekend when I can spend time with the family and relax a little. Going to work on my Thanksgiving Dinner menu, as I will be making dinner for 11+. Love, love, love this time of year! Hopefully I can sneak in some work on some of my Christmas cards, but I bet my girls will want to "help"...this makes for fun distractions.

I've added on the Paper Gallery some of the first few cards I've made so far. I'm not into designer products or papers, I just use what I have on hand and what looks pretty together. I think I'm in love with the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge. Sooooo many possibilities.

Have a great weekend!!!
